Meet the Presenter Dr. Pruszenski

Amy Pruszenski, OD, FOVDR, FNAP earned a Bachelor of Science in Brain and Cognitive Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1989 and completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at the New England College of Optometry in 1993.

Dr. Pruszenski practices in private clinical settings at Harbor Eyecare Center and Visual Victory Training in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

She is a frequent speaker for the Society for Brain Mapping & Therapeutics (SBMT), the Maine Osteopathic Association, Brain Injury Associations in Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire, and the Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Concussion Symposium. She is a member of the Society for Neuroscience and has served on the Vision Processing Committee for SBMT.

Dr. Pruszenski is especially passionate about collaborating with rehabilitation professionals and neuroscientists to advance the standard of care for individuals with brain injury, with a focus on integrating vision rehabilitation into comprehensive recovery.

Outside of her clinical and professional work, she serves as Treasurer of the Portsmouth Lion Club, sings in two choruses, enjoys ballroom dancing, and spends time at the beach with her husband, Andy Allen.
