Medical and Life Care Consulting’s annual webinar series on workers’ compensation recovery for claims adjusters, claims managers, employers, and industry stakeholders.
Begins March 5, 2025!
Medical & Life Care Consulting is excited to bring to our clients and partners INJURY INSIGHT, a four part, annual webinar series designed to educate and inform adjusters, employers, and industry stakeholders on the rehabilitation and recovery process of injuries, illnesses, diagnoses, and treatments, both common and uncommon, within workers’ compensation.
An employee-centric understanding of an individual’s injury or illness and factors that impact rehabilitation improves communication and outcomes for all stakeholders, most importantly, the injured worker. Research has shown that organizations adopting an advocacy-based claims model are experiencing lower litigation rates, expedited return-to-work outcomes, and happier, more productive employees.
In this session, Dr. Kumar will explore how spinal cord stimulation (SCS) functions as an alternative for individuals suffering from persistent pain, such as complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) or migraines.
This session will cover the science behind SCS and how it targets specific pain signals, providing a means to help patients avoid long-term medications or invasive surgeries. We will also delve into recent advancements in dorsal root ganglion (DRG) stimulation, which personalizes pain management and offers significant relief for hard-to-treat cases.
Join Dr. Wesley D. Center, Traumatic Brain Injury specialist, as he explores how neurofeedback, guided by quantitative EEG (qEEG), facilitates recovery after traumatic brain injuries (TBI). This session will highlight how qEEG maps brain activity to identify areas that need targeted support, enabling customized recovery plans that enhance cognitive and emotional healing.
We will also examine the application of these tools in personal injury and legal cases, showing how advancements in brain health technology are making a measurable impact in recovery and rehabilitation.
In this session, Dr. Tabitha Maiorano draws on her extensive experience working with first responders, veterans, and trauma survivors, to discuss trauma-informed therapy techniques like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and how they support individuals with PTSD, traumatic brain injuries, and co-occurring mental health challenges.
This session will also cover our approach to Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) for crisis response, highlighting the essential roles of compassion and resilience in trauma recovery.
